An Award Long Overdue

Like Jenna, I am studying for my last final exam as an undergraduate. There is no pressure to do anything except pass. Usually, my lack of motivation would frustrate me. This is food science though. I have already mastered the art of eating (usually too much).

Saturday sets a chain of events in motion- graduating, traveling, 10 months of training, working full-time...

Funny words from my dad-

"Real life countdown- 3 days until you are no longer a student; 29 days till you start working. 43 years until retirement. Love, Dad"

I have been blessed to have parents that support me and my future in every way that they can. They realize the value of education and have always encouraged me to work harder and to take advantage of all the opportunities around me. They taught me manners- how to be polite, grateful, and courteous. They taught me the importance of being responsible- saving money, being on time, keeping things clean. They pushed me to experience more than the small town I grew up in. They taught me to be an optimist and made me believe that no dream is impossible. Sue and Marty taught me everything that is truly important in life. I will forever be in debt to their guidance and unconditional love.

#1 teacher of my educational career= tie between Sue & Marty.
